BASEBALL DISTRICTS ON MAY 14, 15, 18 AT BERNIE
Chaffee Red Devils will play in the District Baseball Tournament on Friday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m. at Bernie. The Red Devils will play the winner of the Puxico / Charleston game.

TRACK & FIELD DISTRICTS ON SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2026, AT SAXONY LUTHERAN
Track and Field Districts is on Saturday, May 9, at Saxony Lutheran.
Field Events begin at 9:00 a.m.
Running Events begin at 10:00 a.m.

SENIOR FINALS - SENIORS LAST DAY -- SENIOR WALKOUT
Senior Finals will be on the following days:
May 7 (Thursday) -- 4, 5, 6, 7 Hours
May 8 (Friday) --1, 2, 3 Hours
Seniors Last Day will be on Friday, May 8.
The Senior Walkout will be at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Friday, May 8.
Seniors must attend classes that morning (including CTC) to participate.

CES AND JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL FINE ARTS NIGHT ON MAY 7TH
Chaffee Elementary and Jr/Sr High Fine Arts Night will take place on Thursday, May 7th, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the elementary school.
The night will feature student artwork from both the Elementary and Jr/Sr High art programs as well as musical performances by the 5th and 6th Grade and the CHS Choir.
Please join us for an evening with the Fine Arts!

The home baseball game with Scott City today (5/6/2026) has been pushed back to a 5:30 p.m. start.

100th Anniversary Celebration of Chaffee Harmon Field (1926-2026) before the HS Baseball Game
4:10 p.m. -- There will be a 100th Anniversary Pregame Ceremony at 4:10 p.m.

The committee is asking for students to come out for this celebration. There will be designated areas for students in each grade (7th-12th). The grade that has the most participation, good sportsmanship, creativity, and spirit will win a pizza party the last week of school. Students can make posters and signs to display at the game. The committee is asking that each class wear a certain color to the game.

HELLO SMILES WEEK AT CHAFFEE JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL ON MAY 4-8
Student Council is sponsoring “Hello Smiles Week” at the Jr/Sr High School on May 4-8.
Monday (May 4) – “Clipped with Kindness” -- Student Council will start with kindness clips, and if you are clipped please pass along the kindness and clip someone else.
Tuesday (May 5) – “Split the Kindness, Share the Smile” -- Bring a banana from home to make a banana split at lunch.
Wednesday (May 6) – “Your kindness matters more than you think!” There will be 2 stations set up in the hallway for you to write kind notes to others or anonymously.
Thursday (May 7) – “Spot a duck. Spark a Smile.” There will be ducks hidden throughout the high school. If you find a duck, see Mrs. Swinford to get your prize.
Friday (May 8) – “Small Words – Big Impact!” Students will either receive a card or gift as they come into school.

Congratulations to our Chaffee Industrial Arts students on a fantastic day at the Technology Education Association of Missouri (TEAM) Southeast District Industrial Arts contest at the S Bar F Scout Ranch near Farmington. The CIA students earned all 1st place ratings, 35 State Qualifiers, 6 of the 9 Best in Division, and Best of Show. The State Contest will be April 30-May 2 at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The Track Meet at Saxony Lutheran on Tuesday, April 28th, has been cancelled and will not be made up.
Track practice will be at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
