MOBILE FOOD PANTRY AT CHAFFEE HIGH SCHOOL (SPONSORED BY SOUTHEAST MISSOURI FOOD BANK) ON DECEMBER 1 -- There will be a Mobile Food Pantry for residents of Scott County sponsored by the Southeast Missouri Food Bank on Monday, December 1st, at 3:00 p.m. at Chaffee High School in the old hospital parking lot at 517 West Yoakum, Chaffee, MO. Please do not line up prior to 2:30 p.m. and follow onsite parking directions.
PICTURE DAY AT CES AND JR/SR HIGH ON NOVEMBER 21 -- ELEMENTARY PICTURE DAY - Picture Retakes and Classroom Pictures - CES picture retakes and classroom group pictures will be taken on Friday, November 21st. JR/SR HIGH PICTURE DAY - Individual Student School Pictures and Picture Retakes -- Junior and Senior High School individual student school pictures and picture retakes will be taken on Friday, November 21st. If you did not get your school picture taken in July, you need to have your picture taken on Friday. And, if you need picture retakes, they can be taken on Friday.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHAFFEE INDUSTRIAL ARTS (CIA) STUDENTS -- Congratulations to the Chaffee Industrial Arts (CIA) students for placing 3rd, as a school, during the 22nd Annual MoDOT Bridge Contest at Southeast Missouri State University, on November 12th. There were just under 250 student bridges from 30 schools from the southeastern/southern part of Missouri. 1st place - St. Genevieve / 2nd place - Perryville Career & Technology Center / 3rd place - Chaffee Industrial Arts

JUNIOR HIGH BOYS SCOTT MISSISSIPPI CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT -- The Junior High Boys Basketball Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament will begin on Saturday, November 15th, at Chaffee. Chaffee 8th Grade Red Devils will play Kelly at 9:00 a.m. Chaffee 7th Grade Red Devils will play Scott County Central at 10:15 a.m. There are five other games that follow our games on Saturday. CONGRATULATIONS 2025 SOUTHEAST MISSOURI ALL-DISTRICT BAND AND ALL-DISTRICT JAZZ BAND! Congratulations to the following students who made the 2025 Southeast Missouri All-District Band and All-District Jazz Band. These talented Chaffee Junior and Senior High music students competed with over 450 students from across Southeast Missouri for a spot in the All-District Band! JUNIOR HIGH ALL-DISTRICT BAND: Rheagen Emmons: 12th Chair Clarinet; Bear Butcher: 5th Chair Trumpet. HIGH SCHOOL ALL-DISTRICT BAND: Brandon Turner: 14th Chair Clarinet; Keira Biggs: 18th Chair Clarinet; Eve O'Neal: 1st Chair Trumpet; Jacob Myers: 5th Chair Euphonium. ALL-DISTRICT JAZZ BAND: Jackson Allen: 2nd Alto Saxophone. The Southeast Missouri All-District Concert will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Richard D. Kinder Performance Hall at Cape Central High School. The Southeast Missouri All-District Jazz Band Concert will be held sometime in January or February.

CROSS COUNTRY DISTRICT RESULTS -- Peyton Penrose finished her Cross Country season on Saturday, November 1st, at Arcadia Valley in the Class 2 District 1 meet. She finished in 62nd place (91 total runners) with a season and career PR time of 26:06. Her previous best was 27:10. Great job Peyton!

CHAFFEE HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR CITIZEN THANKSGIVING DINNER ON NOVEMBER 13 -- The annual Chaffee High School Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner will be on Thursday, November 13, in the High School Activity Center. Tickets are available from the High School office or the Chaffee Nutrition Center. Dinner will be served at 5:00 p.m. with carry outs beginning at 5:30 p.m. The dinner is free to all Chaffee Senior Citizens. Everyone attending must have a ticket to receive a meal.
