CONGRATULATIONS CARLYANNE COSSOU -- ALL-STATE TRACK & FIELD! Congratulations to Carlyanne Cossou who is the 2025 Missouri State Track & Field Class 2 Champ in the 100 Meter Hurdles and the 300 Meter Hurdles. Carlyanne also placed 2nd in the Triple Jump and 8th in the 200 Meter. Congratulations Carlyanne on being a Four-Time Individual All-State Athlete!

STATE TRACK & FIELD RESULTS FROM DAY 1 - MAY 23, 2025 – CONGRATULATIONS! Carlyanne Cossou - Carlyanne placed 2nd in the Triple Jump at the Class 2 State Track & Field Meet in Jefferson City on Friday, May 23. Carlyanne’s best jump was a PR distance of 11.57m (37.11ft). Carlyanne’s distance broke the previous Class 2 record of 11.56m which was set in 2015. The 1st place jump of 11.6m also broke the Class 2 record. Carlyanne qualified for the finals on Saturday, May 24th, in three events at the State Track and Field Meet. She qualified in the 100m hurdles with a PR time of 15.03, the 300m hurdles with a time of 45.81, and the 200m with a time of 25.94. She will run on Saturday, May 24th, at 11:10 a.m. in the 100m hurdle finals, 2:15 p.m. in the 300m hurdle finals, and 3:00 p.m. in the 200m finals. Good Luck Carlyanne! Ty Atkins - Ty participated in the Javelin at the Class 2 State Track & Field Meet. He placed 11th with a throw of 44.52m (146.1ft). Ty concludes an outstanding 10th grade Track and Field season.
Carson Clover - Carson participated in the Shot Put at the Class 2 State Track & Field Meet. Carson’s best throw was 13.92m(45.8ft) which put him in 12th place. Great job Carson on having an outstanding Sophomore Track and Field season.

CHS ATHLETIC BANQUET -- This year’s CHS Athletic Banquet will be for ALL High School Sports on Wednesday, May 21st, at 6:00 pm in the High School Activity Center. There will be a meal and award presentations for each sport. The Mark Whitaker Senior Male Student Athlete Award and the Female Senior Student Athlete Award will also be presented. The meal is free for all athletes and coaches. The meal cost is $10 for guests. Children 8 and under are free. The meal will be a Taco Bar.
SUMMER SCHOOL -- Summer School (Grades K-12) will be from Wednesday, May 21st, to Thursday, June 12th, from 7:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m. Classes will not be held on Monday, May 26th, for the Memorial Day holiday. All classes (K-12) will be at the High School. Breakfast and Lunch will be served and is free for anyone 18 and under.

CONGRATULATIONS CHAFFEE TRACK & FIELD STATE QUALIFIERS! Chaffee participated at the Track and Field Class 2 Sectional 1 Meet on Saturday, May 17, at Grandview High School. Congratulations to the following Chaffee athletes who qualified for the Missouri High School State Track & Field Meet in Jefferson City on May 23-24.
Carlyanne Cossou – Carlyanne qualified for the Missouri High School State Track & Field Meet in 4 events at the Class 2 Sectional 1 Meet. She was Sectional Champion in the 100m Hurdles (15.36) and Triple Jump with a PR jump of 11.27m (36ft 11.7in). She also placed 2nd in the 300m Hurdles (44.88) and 3rd in the 200m (26.41). Carlyanne will participate in the State Track & Field Meet on Friday and Saturday (May 23-24).
Carson Clover – Carson placed 3rd in the Shot Put at the Class 2 Sectional 1 Track Meet. He had a huge PR throw of 14.14m (46.39 feet). Carson will participate in the State Track & Field Meet on Friday, May 23rd, at 10:00 a.m.
Ty Atkins – Ty placed 4th in the Javelin at the Class 2 Sectional 1 Track and Field Meet. His best throw was 45.72m (150 ft) which is a PR and a new school record (previously held by Blake Yarbro). He will compete in the State Track & Field Meet at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23rd.
