2025 PUMPKIN ART FUNDRAISER -- AUCTION BIDS DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17 -- Starting this year, and each year going forward, the Chaffee Art department will auction off jack-o-lanterns hand crafted by Jay Pierce, Chaffee Visual Arts Educator, to help raise funds for the Chaffee Art Department. This year we have two scary custom pumpkins. ~ The first is a classic “scary” pumpkin you might see on a porch. It is approximately a 5in. spherical and has a slot to place a tea light candle (included). ~ The second is a truly scary pumpkin you might see in your nightmares. It is also approximately a 5in. spherical and has a slot for a tea light candle (included). All money goes directly to the art department for supplies. The auction will be a silent auction. All bids will be sent to Mr. Pierce. Shipping/ delivery not available. All bids must be placed before the end of school on Friday, October 17th. JUST A REMINDER THAT OUR MOGUL DANCE IS TONIGHT (SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11) -- The CHS Mogul Dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th, from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. in the High School Activity Center for Grades 7-12. Cost is $3 per person or $5 per couple. Concessions available for purchase. There will be a photo booth. Professional photos will be available for $5 per photo. Dance is semi formal! REMINDER -- CHS SENIORS AND JUNIORS! MAKE YOUR MARK -- PAINT YOUR PARKING SPOT! We will have our "Make Your Mark - Paint Your Parking Spot" event on Saturday, October 4th, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We can’t wait to see all the juniors and seniors along with their family and friends showing their creative side! If you can't make it Saturday, please let Mrs. Swinford know, and you can paint your parking spot any time after that date that you are available. The cost is $30, or $20 if you kept your design from last year. You must purchase a school parking permit from the office for $3.00 before you can paint!

CHAFFEE COMMUNITY CARE PORTAL FALL CARNIVAL ON OCTOBER 4TH -- The Chaffee Community Care Portal will be hosting a Fall Carnival on Saturday, October 4th, at Frisco Park from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. This is organized by the Chaffee Community Care Portal with help from local and school organizations. There will be Carnival Games, Cake Walk, Hayride, and other activities. $1.00 tickets sold at the event. There will also be Chaffee Farmers Market vendors and Concessions available for purchase. Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt – There will be 5 pumpkins hidden in town each day from September 29-October 3. Redeem a pumpkin for a prize at the carnival. Limit one per child.

Congratulations CHS Mogul! The CHS Mogul crew went to J-Day at Southeast Missouri State University on September 26. They attended workshops and learned new skills to improve the yearbook. Several photos and yearbook spreads were entered into competition, and the CHS Mogul staff took home 5 trophies! SPIRIT WEEK FALL FRENZY EVENTS ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH ARE POSTPONED!!
After much consideration it has been decided to postpone tonight's (Wednesday, September 24th) events due to weather.
The Chili Cook-Off will be moved to Thursday night (September 25th) at 5:30 p.m. on the football parking lot. We have a JH football game against Scott City Thursday night that starts at 5:30 p.m. so it will be a great time have the Chili Cook-Off.
The Powder Puff game between the junior and senior girls and the Senior Moms Tackle will be postponed until a later date. We will share that date as soon as it is rescheduled.

LADY DEVILS SOFTBALL GAME CANCELLED TODAY (9/23/25) -- The Lady Devils Softball game at Naylor has been cancelled today (Tuesday, September 23) because of rain.

FCA SEE YOU AT THE POLE (SEPTEMBER 24) -- FCA See You at the Pole will take place on Wednesday, September 24th, at 7:30 am. Please join us at the flagpole in front of the school to pray for our families, our school, our community, and our nation. Students have been praying at the pole since 1990.
