GAME TIME CHANGE FOR HS FOOTBALL GAME ON SATURDAY -- The start time of the HS Football game on Saturday, September 13th, at Hayti has been moved up to 10:00 a.m. due to heat concerns. The bus will leave Scott City at 6:45 a.m. Coaches will notify our players what time the bus will leave from Chaffee to Scott City.

MISSOURI EMERGENCY PERSONNEL APPRECIATION DAY AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DAY (SEPTEMBER 11) - Emergency Personnel Appreciation Day is September 11th. This is a day set apart for acknowledging, with special gratitude and profound respect, all emergency personnel. Thank you to our local police, firefighters, ambulance personnel, and emergency dispatchers who keep our schools and community safe! And, a very special Thank You to our Chaffee Schools Resource Officer -- Officer Lyerla!
PATRIOT DAY – NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE AND REMEMBRANCE 9/11 – Today, on September 11th, we honor the memories of those lives lost, the bravery shown, and the unity that followed.
The Chaffee R-2 Board has announced they are taking applications for the position of Superintendent due to retirement. Application materials can be found by going to www.chaffeer2.org and once there click in the top right hand corner on the Explore tab. In the Document Folder you will find the application announcement, application, and salary schedule. Applications will be taken until October 17, 2025 with interviews to be held the first week of November.

REMINDER – EARLY DISMISSAL DAY (SEPTEMBER 8) -- Chaffee Elementary and Jr/Sr High School will have an Early Dismissal Day on Monday, September 8, 2025. Classes will dismiss at 1:34 p.m.
NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY -- National Grandparents Day is celebrated on Sunday, September 7. While we honor our grandparents daily, let’s take an extra moment to appreciate all the joy and wisdom that grandparents bring to our lives. August 29th Game Times -- 4:00 p.m.–First game on Field 5 Chaffee Lady Devils vs Lutheran South. 5:45 p.m.-Second game Lady Devils will play at 5:45 p.m. on Field 5 or 6 vs Notre Dame or Sikeston. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for Senior Citizens and students. HS VARSITY FOOTBALL GAME AT SCOTT CITY ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 29TH -- The first home Football Game at Scott City on August 29th vs East Prairie is a “Green Up Game”. Chaffee athletic passes are honored by Scott City. Teachers can show their school ID’s to get in all year. Students who wear green get in free Friday. PJ DAY AT CES – CES PJ Day is on Friday, August 29. Wear your favorite PJs to school! Give your dollar to Mrs. Amy in the office or your homeroom teacher!
BOYS BASKETBALL MEETING ON AUGUST 29TH -- There will be a boys basketball meeting on Friday, August 29th, at 2:20 p.m. in the gym for all 7th-12th grade boys interested in playing Junior High or High School boys basketball.

FOOTBALL HOMECOMING SHIRT ORDERS - The Football Homecoming shirt order forms “The Greatest Show on Turf” are now available from Mrs. Swinford or on the school website or Facebook page. Shirts are $15.00. Please make payment by Cash or Check (Checks made payable to Chaffee High School.) Order forms and money are due by Wednesday, September 3rd.
RED DEVIL ATHLETIC PASS AND T-SHIRT BUNDLE (ORDERS DUE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5) -- Buy a student or adult athletic pass and get a Red Devil t-shirt! These passes will get you into any junior high or high school home game for football and basketball. They will also be accepted at Scott City High School home football games. Student passes are $35 and Adult passes are $50. Passes will be handed out immediately. T-shirts will be distributed by Monday, September 22. Orders are due on Friday, September 5th, to Mrs. Swinford or Mrs. Knutson. If you have already purchased a pass, please email Mrs. Knutson or Mrs. Swinford with your shirt size.
