REMINDER – FINALS (GRADES 7-11) ON MAY 15-16 -- Underclassmen (Grades 7-11) finals are scheduled as follows: Wednesday, May 15th – 5th, 6th and 7th Periods; Thursday, May 16th – 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Periods. No finals will be given early! If students are unable to take finals on the specific dates, they are responsible for scheduling a time to take them with the teacher upon returning.

REMINDER – KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION IS MAY 14 -- Kindergarten Graduation is on Tuesday, May 14, at 6:00 pm at CES. We invite you to celebrate the graduating Class of 2036! You are welcome to bring family and friends to help celebrate! Students ONLY will report to their classroom at 5:30 pm where they will get dressed in their cap and gown. Their teachers will have their cap and gown waiting for them in their classroom. The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm. After graduation, students will go to the risers for pictures. You can pick your child up from that location. Please pick up your child’s memory box from their class table after graduation is over.
REMINDER -- 6TH GRADE FIELD TRIP (TUESDAY, MAY 14) -- The 6th Grade Field Trip will be on Tuesday, May 14, at Ultimate Air Cape Girardeau / Cape County Park. Information for Trip: ~Students should wear comfortable clothes (preferably Chaffee red and black shirts) and tennis shoes. ~Students should NOT bring phones or other electronic devices on the trip. ~The bus will leave school at 8:45 am. ~No money is required unless students want money for extra concessions at Ultimate Air. ~Lunch (pizza) will be provided by Chaffee Parent Group. ~The bus will return to school at approximately 2:00 pm. ~ Water bottle donations are appreciated.
REMINDER – CES TALENT SHOW -- The CES Talent Show is today (Monday, May 13) at 1:00 p.m. in the Elementary Gym. Students in 2nd-6th grades will be performing. Acts will include gymnastics, comedy, singing, and other talents. Parents are welcome to attend.
REMINDER – SPRING CONCERT IS TONIGHT (MAY 13) -- The Spring Concert (JH Band and HS Band) is Monday, May 13, at 7:00 pm in the HS Gym.
CONGRATULATIONS CHAFFEE TRACK & FIELD STATE QUALIFIERS -- Chaffee participated at the Track and Field Sectionals on Saturday, May 11, at Park Hills High School. Congratulations to the following athletes who qualified for the State Track Meet in Jefferson City on May 17-18. CARLYANNE COSSOU -- Carlyanne qualified for the State Track Meet in 4 individual events. She was Sectional Champion in the 100 meter hurdles with a winning time of 15.72 and in the triple jump with a PR jump of 10.54m (34' 7"). She also was 3rd in the high jump with a jump of 1.48m (4' 10.25") (PR) and 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles with a PR time of 48.77. Carlyanne runs in the prelims on Friday, May 17th in the 100 meter hurdles at 11:35 a.m. and the 300 meter hurdles at 3:35 p.m. She will compete in the high jump on May 17th at 9:30 a.m. and in the triple jump at 12:30 p.m. on May 18th. AYNÉ HELD -- Ayné was Sectional Champion in the javelin at the Class 2 Sectional 1 track meet. Ayné was super close to a PR with a winning distance of 38.71m (127' 0"). Ayné will compete on May 17th at 1:00 p.m. at the State Track Meet. MADISON POBST -- Madison placed 3rd in the shot put at the Class 2 Sectional 1 track meet. Her distance was a career PR of 10.05m (32' 11.75"). She will compete at the State Track Meet on May 17th at 10:00 a.m. BLAKE YARBRO -- Blake was Sectional Champion in the shot put at the Class 2 Sectional 1 track meet. His winning distance was 15.13m (49' 7.75"). Blake will compete at 9:30 a.m. on May 18th at the State Track Meet.

REMINDER -- SENIOR CLASS OF 2024 GRADUATION DINNER ON MAY 9 -- The Chaffee Community Care Portal is sponsoring a Graduation Dinner for the 2024 CHS Seniors and Class Sponsors on Thursday, May 9, at 6:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church on 210 South Third Street in Chaffee, MO. This is a complimentary dinner for our CHS Seniors and their Senior Class Sponsors.
REMINDER -- INDUSTRIAL ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY ICE CREAM SOCIAL AND PROJECTS DISPLAY IS MAY 9 – The Chaffee Industrial Arts and Technology Ice Cream Social will be held on Thursday, May 9, in the High School Activity Center from 5:00–8:00 pm. The community is invited, and attendees can make ice cream sundaes or floats. Other desserts, water, and coffee will also be available. The cost for the Ice Cream Social is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children ages 10 & under. Proceeds from the Ice Cream Social support the Chaffee Industrial Arts and Technology program. Student projects will be on display from the following classes: Robotics, Woodworking, CNC, Graphics, CAD, and Photography. There is no cost to view the projects. The community will be able to drive the robots, talk with the teams, and experience the First Tech Challenge Power Play. Also, rocket stoves will be for sale for $150 (retail for $400) as well as an assortment of end tables for $75. Please come and enjoy some ice cream and view all of our students’ hard work and beautiful projects!
