CES AND CHS STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE FREE LUNCHES FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR -- Chaffee R-2 is pleased to announce that both Chaffee Elementary School (CES) and Chaffee High School (CHS) students will receive free lunches for the 2025-2026 school year. Previously, only CES students ate free; however, with the new application cycle both buildings now will participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). ** This does not eliminate current negative balances. Families are responsible for payment of any unpaid breakfast/lunch fees from previous school years. **Please note: Extra portions and Ala Carte items will continue to have charges.

We will be back to school before you know it in four weeks so if you haven’t already shopped for school supplies and want to get a head start on the back to school supply list, here is our CES School Supply List for 2025-2026. It can also be downloaded from the school website or school App under the Elementary School Announcements or on our CES Facebook page. And, just a reminder that our District Enrollment Day is on Wednesday, July 23, at the High School Gym from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.!

The Chaffee R-2 School District will hold District Enrollment Day on Wednesday, July 23, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm in the High School gym. Enrollment forms will be mailed prior to July 23rd. Parents/guardians are asked to complete all of the information on each form and return completed forms during District Enrollment Day. Cheekwood Studios will be taking school photos of students and staff for the new school year. The Scott County Health Department will be available to give immunizations. Additional information will be sent out the week before District Enrollment Day.
CONGRATULATIONS BETA CLUB! Congratulations to the following Chaffee Senior Beta members who placed in the Top 10 at the National Beta Convention in Florida! Eli Nix - 3rd Place in 3-D Design. Zeke Wessel - 8th Place in Digitally Enhanced Photography. Chaffee Senior Beta - 7th Place in the National Service Project “Beta Serves Orlando”. Chaffee Beta had a part of donating over 14,000 school supply items given to the students of Orange County Schools. Eli Nix chaired the project. Congratulations CHS Beta Club!
BLOOD DRIVE ON JULY 1ST -- Chaffee Student Council is hosting a Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 1st, at the High School Activity Center from 1:00 – 6:00 pm. All donors will receive a St. Louis Cardinals Blood Drive shirt and Red Cross goodr sunglasses! You can make an appointment by calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit RedCrossBlood.org. You can also visit the CHS Student Council Facebook page and comment on their Blood Drive post to make an appointment. Please help us make this Blood Drive a huge success!
CONGRATULATIONS ALL STATE BASEBALL RECOGNITION -- Six Chaffee Red Devils earned All State baseball honors after leading the Chaffee baseball team to a third straight 3rd place finish in the Class 2 State Tournament. There are approximately 900 players in Class 2 that are starters, and 60 players were selected for All-State honors with Chaffee having 6 of those players. What a great accomplishment for the Chaffee baseball team! Congratulations to these baseball players and to ALL of the Chaffee baseball players and coaches for this season’s success! GRADUATE DIPLOMA PACKET PICKUP STARTS ON JUNE 9TH -- Graduates will be able to pick up their diploma packets from the high school office starting on Monday, June 9th. Please be prepared to pay all outstanding fees and turn in sports equipment and Chromebook items if you haven’t already done so. High School office hours for Monday, June 9th through Thursday, June 12th will be 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After June 12th, HS office hours will be Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Summer Conditioning & Weights runs from June 2–July 22 (Monday through Thursday) from 8:00-9:30 a.m. Check with your coaches about sport specific questions regarding summer or season events! ** Summer weights will go on as planned during the first week, but an extra day will be added to the schedule on Friday, June 6th, from 8-9:30 a.m. for those who will miss Monday-Wednesday during the first week due to State Baseball.
