
REMINDER -- ALL YOU CAN EAT FRIED CHICKEN & ALL THE FIXINGS FUNDRAISER DINNER IS ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18 -- The All You Can Eat Fried Chicken and Chicken & Dumplings Dinner Fundraiser (sponsored by CHS Baseball and Softball) will be held on Sunday, February 18, from 10:30 am-1:00 pm at the Chaffee High School Activity Center. Tickets are $15 per person (All You Can Eat), but ages 8 and under eat free. There will be Fried Chicken, Chicken & Dumplings, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Corn, Slaw, Drinks, and Dessert. Carryouts are available! Tickets are available for purchase at the door from 10:30 am-1:00 pm the day of the dinner.

The Chaffee Parent Group Trivia Night & Silent Auction will be on Saturday, February 17, at the Chaffee Elks Lodge. This is one night with F•R•I•E•N•D•S you don’t want to miss out on! CHS MOGUL VALENTINE’S DANCE IS TONIGHT (FEBRUARY 16) -- The CHS Mogul Valentine's Dance will take place on Friday, February 16th from 7:00–10:00 PM in the High School Activity Center. All 7th-12th grade students are invited to attend. Out-of-school date forms were due on Friday, February 9. Coronation will begin at approximately 8:30 PM. Dress code is semi-formal. Cost is $3.00 per person or $5.00 per couple. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Professional photos will be available for $5.00 a photo. Congratulations to the following students for being selected as 2024 Mogul Candidates! 7th grade: Gracie Govreau and Ross Cossou; 8th grade: Makenna Nixon and Cameron Phillips; 9th grade: Cara Kelly and Nate Schwind; 10th grade: Taylor McKnight and Holden Stanley; 11th grade: Riley Penrose and Owen Bollinger; 12th grade: Ava Reif and Blake Yarbro. These students will be voted on at the dance and crowned CHS Mogul Prince and Princess and King and Queen.


REMINDER -- CHS PARENT ENROLLMENT PRESENTATION -- There will be a Parent Enrollment Presentation for the parents of incoming 9th-12th grade students in the High School Library at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15. Parents should bring student enrollment materials. Students do not need to attend.

Congratulations to our CHS Lady Devils Softball team that ranked 7th in State Class 2 with a team GPA of 3.77 and to our CHS Lady Devils Softball members who were recognized as Academic All-State – Jordynn Brown, Carlyanne Cossou, Madison Golightly, Abbigale Hanback, Jocelyn Hanlon, Ayné Held, Kylea Pennington, Bailey Robertson, Malinah Robertson, Kaylynn Tuttleton, Addi Uhrhan, Reese Van Pelt, Leah Vandeven, and Paige Wilhite. Congratulations to the Lady Devils for their dedication in the classroom!


CES VALENTINE’S DAY PARTIES -- CES Valentine’s Day Parties will be on Wednesday, February 14, at 2:15 pm. Also, a reminder that there will be no after school tutoring on Wednesday. Please review the student delivery policy for Valentine’s Day: The school accepts flowers, balloons, or gift deliveries for students; however, items that may restrict the bus driver's visual field or cause a safety concern on the bus including, but not limited to, helium balloons or glass items, will NOT be allowed on the bus. When making a delivery to the school, arrangements should be made to pick up all items at the end of the day by a parent/guardian.

REMINDER -- FAFSA HELP SESSION -- A FAFSA Help Session will be held on Monday, February 12, at 6:00 PM in the CHS Library. Parents & Seniors should bring the following items: ~Student Chromebook ~FSA ID completed ~2022 taxes ~Parent & student SSN ~Parent & student birthday. Students should check their student email for more details about FSA ID and what to bring.


NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS ON FEBRUARY 15, 16, AND 19 -- No classes will be held for CES, CHS, or CTC on February 15, 16, and 19. Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Thursday, February 15, from 1:00-7:00 pm.

CES 100 DAYS OF SCHOOL -- Chaffee Elementary will be celebrating the 100th Day of School on Friday, February 9! To celebrate, students should dress like they are 100 years old. We can’t wait to see what all of our “senior citizens” will look like when they are 100 years old!


WAY TO GO CHAFFEE STUDENT COUNCIL! Chaffee StuCo raised $10,644 for Special Olympics at the Cape Polar Plunge on Saturday, February 3, 2024, and they received the Golden Plunger Award for the school that raised the most money! Chaffee StuCo had 25 members take the plunge this year which is the most Chaffee has ever had and had 28 members on the team. Congratulations to Ayné Held for raising the most money ($3,457)! Also, congratulations to Addison Stratton who raised $1,620 and Zoe Bentley who raised $1,260! Thank you to everyone that supported Chaffee StuCo for such a great cause! Way to go CHS Student Council Ohana! CHS is proud of you and that all you do for our school and community!


NATIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING APPRECIATION WEEK -- This week (February 5-9) is National School Counseling Week. Thank you Mrs. Cossou and Mrs. Shy for all that you do for our students at CES and CHS! We appreciate you!
