Congratulations to Carlyanne Cossou! On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Carlyanne tied the school record in the High Jump at Notre Dame with a jump of 1.55 meters (5 feet, 1 inch). She now shares the record with Amy (Holmes) Reischman. Carlyanne also placed a dominating 1st in a packed field (25 total teams) in both the 100 Meter (15.39) and 300 Meter Hurdles (47.10) lowering her already existing school records of 15.62 & 48.46.

PRE- KINDERGARTEN AND KINDERGARTEN SCREENING ON MARCH 27 AND 28 -- Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten Screening for students in the Chaffee R-II School District will be held on Thursday, March 27 and Friday, March 28 from 8:30 am-2:00 pm at Chaffee Elementary School (408 Elliott Avenue). Children turning 4 on or before July 31, 2025 should be screened for entry into Pre-Kindergarten, and children turning 5 on or before July 31, 2025 should be screened for entry into Kindergarten. Please contact Chaffee Elementary at 887-3244 to schedule an appointment. Please bring your child to the screening along with his/her: (1) birth certificate, (2) shot record, (3) social security card, (4) proof of residency. Screening takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
REMINDER – CHAFFEE RED DEVILS SOCKS FUNDRAISER ORDERS ARE DUE FRIDAY, MARCH 21! Chaffee Junior Beta Club is selling Chaffee Red Devil socks. The socks are made from cotton and are soft and comfortable, and they would be good for everyday wear and athletics/sports. The price is $8.00 a pair. The sale ends on Friday, March 21, 2025. CES REMINDER – SPRING PICTURES AND KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION PICTURES ON FRIDAY, MARCH 21 -- The Spring Picture Day flyer was sent out on TeacherEase. Cheekwood Ordering Process -- Cheekwood will send a link to parents/guardians via email and/or text message for parents/guardians to view and order their child's pictures. Cheekwood will still distribute the pictures to the school. ** Kindergarten Note: Kindergarten will have Spring Pictures AND Graduation Pictures on March 21st. Ordering for Kindergarten Graduation pictures will work the same as Spring pictures with a link being sent to parents/guardians via email to view and order the pictures. No money is needed at this time. Caps and gowns are at the school.

Address: 111 Old Orchard Rd, Bonne Terre, MO 63628. Information and permission forms were previously sent home. ~Parents may come but must drive themselves and pay for admission. ~Please do not send any electronics with your child. ~Please make sure your child wears socks and tennis shoes. ~Students need to be at school no later than 8:00 a.m. ~Lunch will be provided for the students. ~The bus will return at approximately 2:40 p.m.
