Congratulations to our Chaffee Red Devils 7th Grade Basketball Team on winning the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament on Tuesday, November 26! They had a great tournament and also had an undefeated season! Great job boys! Way to go!

JH BOYS BASKETBALL – SCOTT MISSISSIPPI CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT (NOVEMBER 25, 2024) -- Chaffee 7th Grade boys will play Delta 7th Grade at 7:45 pm in the Scott Mississippi Conference Tournament at Scott County Central on Monday, November 25. The bus departure will be at 6:00 pm. ** Please note that the Junior High Tournament brackets have been updated and times adjusted, and our 7th grade now plays at approximately 7:45 pm. THANKSGIVING BREAK (NOVEMBER 25-29) -- There will be no school for students and staff on November 25-29 for Thanksgiving Break. The Cape Career & Technology Center (CTC) WILL hold classes Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th, and transportation will be available for morning and afternoon students to attend. CTC will NOT be holding classes Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th.
JR/SR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT PROGRESS REPORTS – Jr/Sr High School student progress reports will be distributed to students on Wednesday, November 20th during 7th hour.
HS BOYS BASKETBALL JAMBOREE IS WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20! The HS Boys Basketball Jamboree is at Chaffee on Wednesday, November 20. Game Times: 5:00 pm - Chaffee vs Arcadia Valley // 6:30 pm - Chaffee vs Perryville. Admission: $4 adult / $2 student. Let’s Go Red Devils!!
CAPE CENTRAL’S FAN SECURITY PROTOCOL FOR THE GIRLS BASKETBALL JAMBOREE -- Cape Central’s security protocols for fans at tonight’s (11/19/24) Girls Basketball Jamboree: No weapons or prohibited items allowed. Spectators may be screened for prohibited items prior to entry. No bags allowed EXCEPT clear stadium bags (maximum size 12x6x12). No students 6th grade or below will be admitted without a parent or guardian present. No exit and re-entry. All visitors are subject to Board Policy. Please Share! REMINDER -- PICTURE DAY AT CES AND CHS ON NOVEMBER 20, 2024 – **Elementary school picture retakes and classroom pictures will be taken by Cheekwood Studio on November 20th beginning at 8:30 a.m. **Junior/Senior High School individual student school pictures and picture retakes will be taken by Cheekwood Studio on November 20th. Picture packets are available outside the high school office. If you did not get your picture taken in July, you need to get your picture taken. If you need your pictures retaken, please bring the pictures you received.
JR/SR BETA CLUB BUTTER BRAID FUNDRAISER ORDERS DUE ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22 - Chaffee Junior/Senior Beta Club is selling Butter Braids. The last day to order Butter Braids is on Friday, November 22. They will be delivered on Tuesday, December 10. This is the perfect easy dish to pop in the oven for the holidays! There are 11 flavors to choose from: Apple, Bavarian Creme, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Cherry, Cinnamon, Cream Cheese, Strawberry, Caramel, Four Cheese and Herb, and Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese icing. Each roll is $18 and can roughly serve 11 people. If you would like to purchase one, please reach out to a Junior/Senior High Beta member. If you cannot get in contact with one, reach out to the Beta Club Facebook page. The money raised will help fund state projects as well as help fund our national bound members! **Note to Beta Club Members -- Any Beta member who has sold butter braids needs to turn in their forms and money no later than 2:54 p.m. on Friday, November 22nd. Late orders will not be accepted.
REMINDER -- BETA CLUB GOBBLE GRAM SALES END ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20 -- Beta Club is selling Gobble Grams from November 11-20. Gobble Grams can be purchased for both Elementary and Jr/Sr High School students. They are $1.00. Beta Club members will be selling Gobble Grams during Junior High and Senior High lunch periods at the High School. You may also purchase them from Mrs. Rodgers. Cash and check will be accepted. They will be delivered to students on Friday, November 22nd. They will be delivered to the Homerooms (at the elementary) or the students’ 6th Hour class (at the high school).

HERO’S HARVEST BREAKFAST SPONSORED BY JR/SR BETA CLUB FOR ALL LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND FIRST RESPONDERS ON NOVEMBER 22 -- The Chaffee Junior/Senior Beta Club is excited to honor our local heroes in November! On Friday, November 22, Chaffee Jr/Sr Beta Club would like to invite all Chaffee first responders to join us for a hearty breakfast at the High School Activity Center. Beta Club will be serving pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, fruit, and a variety of beverages from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. For those on call, there will be to-go boxes available so you can enjoy breakfast with us, even if you’re on the move. Currently, this breakfast is specifically for Chaffee first responders. However, if we receive enough support, we’d love to open it to surrounding areas as well! To make this event a success, we’re accepting donations of food items, disposable pans, plates, cups, and other supplies. Your support would be greatly appreciated and will help us create a memorable morning for our community’s heroes!

REMINDER – VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION – Monday, November 11, is our Veterans Day Assembly at Chaffee High School at 9:30 a.m. CHS Student Council would like to invite all veterans and community members to join us for our Veterans Day Celebration. Student Council would like to encourage all students to wear Red/White/Blue if possible. Veterans are also invited to a breakfast from 8:30-9:15 a.m. at the high school. The Veterans Day Assembly will be led by CHS Student Council Officers. The Guest Speaker is United States Army Sergeant Kade Sullivan. Music will be by our High School Band, High School Choir, and the 3rd and 4th Grade Choir. We will also be joined by St. Ambrose School and grades 3-6 from Chaffee Elementary.
