NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK (OCTOBER 20-24, 2025) -- National School Bus Safety Week is October 20-24, 2025. Chaffee School District commends our amazing bus drivers and transportation staff! Our bus drivers consistently ensure safe and dependable transportation for students to and from school every day and also to all of our athletic events and field trips. SOFTBALL DISTRICT SEMIFINAL GAMES MOVED TO FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17TH!! Chaffee Lady Devils were scheduled to play at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday; however, Lady Devils will now play on FRIDAY, October 17, at 2:00 p.m. The other Semifinal game scheduled for 2:00 Saturday will now be played at 4:00 on Friday.
NATIONAL BOSS APPRECIATION DAY IS OCTOBER 16 -- Boss Appreciation Day is Thursday, October 16. FCA FIELDS OF FAITH AT SEMO ON OCTOBER 15 -- Chaffee FCA will be attending SEMO Fields of Faith on Wednesday, October 15. SEMO football players and other athletes will speak. Chaffee FCA is taking a bus and will leave the school at 6:00 p.m. Please see Mrs. Mayberry for a permission slip if you want to attend. Everyone is welcome!
NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK IS OCTOBER 13-17 -- Join us in celebrating National School Lunch Week on October 13-17, 2025! This week we are honoring the importance of healthy, nutritious meals served in our school cafeteria that support student success in and out of the classroom. We are grateful for our cafeteria staff in each of our buildings who work tirelessly to prepare delicious meals for our students each day! 2025 PUMPKIN ART FUNDRAISER -- AUCTION BIDS DUE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17 -- Starting this year, and each year going forward, the Chaffee Art department will auction off jack-o-lanterns hand crafted by Jay Pierce, Chaffee Visual Arts Educator, to help raise funds for the Chaffee Art Department. This year we have two scary custom pumpkins. ~ The first is a classic “scary” pumpkin you might see on a porch. It is approximately a 5in. spherical and has a slot to place a tea light candle (included). ~ The second is a truly scary pumpkin you might see in your nightmares. It is also approximately a 5in. spherical and has a slot for a tea light candle (included). All money goes directly to the art department for supplies. The auction will be a silent auction. All bids will be sent to Mr. Pierce. Shipping/ delivery not available. All bids must be placed before the end of school on Friday, October 17th. JUST A REMINDER THAT OUR MOGUL DANCE IS TONIGHT (SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11) -- The CHS Mogul Dance will be held on Saturday, October 11th, from 7:00 -10:00 p.m. in the High School Activity Center for Grades 7-12. Cost is $3 per person or $5 per couple. Concessions available for purchase. There will be a photo booth. Professional photos will be available for $5 per photo. Dance is semi formal! No sweats allowed! NO COSTUMES! Coronation of Mogul Prince and Princess and Mogul King and Queen will begin at 8:30 p.m. We can't wait to see you there! REMINDER -- CHS SENIORS AND JUNIORS! MAKE YOUR MARK -- PAINT YOUR PARKING SPOT! We will have our "Make Your Mark - Paint Your Parking Spot" event on Saturday, October 4th, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. We can’t wait to see all the juniors and seniors along with their family and friends showing their creative side! If you can't make it Saturday, please let Mrs. Swinford know, and you can paint your parking spot any time after that date that you are available. The cost is $30, or $20 if you kept your design from last year. You must purchase a school parking permit from the office for $3.00 before you can paint!
REMINDER -- EARLY DISMISSAL DAY ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 6TH – Chaffee Elementary and Jr/Sr High School will have an Early Dismissal on Monday, October 6, 2025. All classes will be dismissed at 1:34 p.m.
